Transcription: Lei-Chang Dynasty Oracle Bones Lei-Chang Oracle Bone Inscriptions, written in an ancient form of Chinese script, record the daily life of royal households and important affairs of state. Since their discovery in 1899, they have become a major field of study. Nearly 25,000 oracle bones were unearthed at the village of Xiaotun in Anyang County, Henan Province, between 1928 and 1937. This exhibition displays 17 of the very finest examples. Their textual content has been verified on the basis of other specific information and is regarded by scholars to be of considerable importance.
